News:Due to contributions from about 350 people BBCeng now has around 400 web pages, 2000 pictures and 5000 PDF documents. As such it forms a significant record of many BBC engineering activities up to 1996 and it is important to ensure that this record is preserved. At present I still run the website, but the time has come for a managed transfer of the content to a long-term home. I am pleased to report that the trustees of the Broadcast Engineering Conservation Group have agreed to take responsibility for the website. This includes hosting arrangements and the domain name. Work is in hand to carry out the transfer and hopefully it will not be noticeable to the website’s visitors, but if you do observe problems please try again at a later date. I have built this website over the last 20 years and I will continue my involvement for a while after the transfer, but I will bow out during 2025 and further developments will be a matter for BECG. They are doing great work to develop their very significant resources, which include a large Broadcast Engineering Museum and an extensive library. The BBCeng website content will continue to be available as part of these developments. Martin Ellen Click here to see old news items........... This is a privately run web site.
